Well it has been a long time since I posted, again. But it has been a very hectic couple of months! So much exciting stuff has been happening, between renovating the shop we have had 7 guest artists in less than 5 weeks. Thanks to all of them for coming, Wendy Pham, Matt Gordon, Alvaro Flores, Ben O'Grady and we currently have Steve and Lisa Burlton with us. And this has all been going on in the midst of all the shop renovating mess. Sorry about that everyone but in 2 weeks time the mess should be under control... somewhat! So here are some updates on how things are looking:
|
We finally have a doorway between the two shops! And say goodbye to the red, the red will be no more! |
|
Going for more the more "neutral" look. And the shop has little to no natural light, so we are trying to lighten things up a bit! This is Matt and Ryan's room (the new part) |

Matt and Ryan's room which is coming along, few more pictures to hang and such but it's getting there! |
|
Hanging the many, many pictures we have. Thanks to Ryan who has stayed back and helped so many times already! |
I should also just probably mention that we ARE NOT looking for any more artists. We have been getting a lot of applications for work and apprenticeships. I guess having a larger shop means we could have more space but we are really happy with the people we have already working for us and don't feel the need to expand in that way at all. So thanks for the interest but won't be looking for more artists in the foreseeable future.
We have a new shop Instagram! Come follow us for updates on what's happening around the shop, guest artist information and of course all the tattoos our guys get up to!

Alex Rusty Cairns will be with us this week and has one appointment left for his visit. So take advantage of getting a tattoo from an awesome artist and skip our long waiting lists at the shop. Please email progression tattoo@hotmail.com for enquiries.
Matt's been painting a lot lately, so thought I should post them on here so you can look see:

This one is for the Dave Shore Dragon Art Show in Vancouver. Not sure if we can do prints of this one, the original is being sent off to Vancouver for auction. But will keep you posted. |
|
Trying out water colours for the first time (properly anyway). No prints of this one, it was a gift for a friend. |
|
No prints of this one either, it is a gift for our gorgeous little niece Emery. |
And I think we are way overdue for updates on what our guys have been tattooing of late. So here is a bunch from Matty D:
And also in exciting news, Ryan Reeve started with us officially this week! We are really happy to welcome Ryan and his beautiful wife Anneke to Adelaide, they have just made the big move from Melbourne 2 weeks ago. So Ryan is of course taking appointments right now, so take advantage of the fact he's not as booked up as everyone else at the moment and get a sweet tattie from this lovely guy! Ryan is into tattooing a bit of everything Japanese, Traditional and he is of course the Script master!
Here is some stuff Simo has been up to!:
Here is what Jamie has been up to:
And as for Stu, most of you know but he has headed home to England to catch up on a few things but we will be getting him back around mid April and he will be fulltime again at Progression. We are still taking bookings and consultation appointments for him, so email the shop for any interest in getting in with him. Here is some work he got up to before he left:
Hopefully next post won't be so far away and we will have a freshly finished, new and improved Progression Tattoo!
That's all.
